Afghan forces arrest ISIS group commander in east
Afghan security forces arrested a group commander of the ISIS terror group during an operation in eastern Nangarhar province, according to security officials.
The arrested ISIS group commander was identified as Sefatullah who had been involved in major terrorist activities in eastern Nangarhar province.
He was arrested during a counter-terrorism operation conducted by counter-terrorism forces of ministry of interior in Deh Bala district of the province.
Sefatullah is said to be originally hailing from the Laghman province and was also acting as the shadow judge for the terror group in the district.
ISIS in Afghanistan has yet to make any comments regarding the report.
Nangarhar province is located in eastern part of Afghanistan and is the only province in the country which has been confirmed by officials of the ISIS presence.
