An Afghan MP took hostage brother of a police while drunk

Kabul police spokesman, Heshmatullah Stanekzai told Radio Free that northern Baghlan MP, Ashequllah Wafa took hostage brother of a police officer while he was being escorted to his residence in Darulaman area of Kabul.

Stanekzai added that police decided to escort the MP to his residence after they saw that Wafa was drunk last night and had fired into the air along with his bodyguards.

He also said that negotiations are underway for release of the hostage.
