President Ghani appoints delegation to probe the US air strike over Afghan outpost
President Ghani appointed a delegation to comprehensively probe the air strike of US forces over the Afghan National Army post in Logar province early yesterday morning.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani expressed his profound sorrow over the death and wounding of a number of Afghan National Army soldiers as a result of an air strike by the international forces over their post in Baraki Barak district of Logar Province.
President Ghani appointed a delegation to comprehensively probe the incident and come up with clarification surrounding the air strike.
The President reiterated that the international forces take maximum precautions not to harm the people and security forces of Afghanistan in their operations in the future.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani extends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred National Army soldiers and wishes the wounded full recovery.
General john Campbell, commander of Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan has also expressed his deep condolences and said a delegation from international forces in Afghanistan is also probing the incident.
