President Ghani heading a high level delegation leaves for Kazakhstan
President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday evening left for Kazakhstan on a two-day state visit, heading a high delegation, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said the president left for Astana, the Kazak capital, at the invitation of his Kazak counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The statement said the Afghan leader during his trip would meet his Kazak counterpart, prime minister and other senior officials. He would also be meeting some Afghan and Kazak traders and investors.
Ghani would also meet Afghan students and would deliver a speech at Nazarbayev University.
The two countries are expected to sign three agreements on joint anti-corruption campaign, good governance, diplomacy and purchase of wheat.
The president is accompanied by his Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Asadullah Zamir, Information and Culture Minister Abdul Bari Jehani, spymaster Rahmatullah Nabil, his advisor on financial affairs Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal and other senior officials.
