Security forces killed 29 insurgents during routine operations
Afghan security forces in their routine cleanup operations killed 29 armed insurgents in the past 24 hours, according to a statement by ministry of interior.
These operations were launched in relevant areas of Nangarhar, Takhar, Faryab, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Balkh, Kandahar, Zabul, Ghazni, Khost, Paktiya, Herat, Farah, Badghis and Helmand provinces, during which 29 insurgents were killed, 17 wounded and 8 others were arrested by security forces, ministry said.
Some heavy and light weapons and ammunitions have been seized by security forces following the operations.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs appreciates the Afghan National Security Forces operations to eliminate the terrorists’ sanctuaries and calls it a good step toward improving the security and stability.
