Thomas West met Indian officials on Afghanistan

Meeting Indian high ranked officials, Thomas West, US special representative for Afghanistan said the US will work together with its partners to address these interests in a stable and peaceful Afghanistan.

He again mentioned shared interests and said that He had met with Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov and emphasized to be working for shared interests in Afghanistan.

 US special representative for Afghanistan tweeted:” A pleasure to meet with Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Harsh V Shringla, Joint Secretary JP Singh, and others in New Delhi.”

The special representative Thomas West is busy doing his first visit to Europe and Asia.

He has so far visited Brussels, Pakistan, Russia, and India.

Thomas West’s visits to Afghanistan come as the country has not yet recognized the Taliban and has their financial restrictions in place.
